Pre-War / Pre-MGB Event

It is a mid-week event, with arrival in Gympie on Monday and departure on Friday, to avoid higher cost of weekend venues and competition with weddings and other social events.

Since the MG Centenary Pre-War, T and Y-Type Rally in Canberra back in October, a couple of people have suggested there might just be enough similar minded people to host a similar event in South East Queensland. There are now 67 Pre-War MG's garaged in Queensland, spread across 49 owners. We know that not all are on the road, but those who are night enjoy this rally and those restoring might still want to come along in another MG. However, our preference is for pre-MGB models only to manage the numbers.

Accommodation in Gympie is your own selection - Hotels, Motels, Camping, RV Parks and BnB's are all available in Gympie. You may even know some MG friends in the are who might host you! 

Costs will be kept low to enter the rally. It will be purely social with no competition involved, just a vote for the MG You Like The Most at the rally and a Spirit of MG for the most popular car and team.

Entries open on 18th March and close 14th April 2024. Entry fee will be around $250 pp to cover some breakfast, lunches, evening meals plus a movie.

The detailed event schedule and inclusions will become available to entrants after close of entries, to help us manage univited spectators.
